Doing good. Well, thank you for being here. So, Patrick, over the years, you've grown a remarkable following. However, some of our listeners might not be familiar with your full journey. So let's take it from the top. Could you share a little bit about your company and the background of it and what you do?

Yeah.

The Gap Between Nothing And Lethal Force

So uh we uh started uh Paradis for the uh wanting to enable people to have a self-defense option that kind of sits in that space between doing nothing uh if you need to defend yourself and having to use lethal force, which would be like having to use a firearm uh to defend yourself. So there's you know, there's uh times uh when you do need to definitely, you know, use lethal force to protect yourself. But, you know, statistics and studies show that about 99% of the time, lethal force is not necessary. And so we're here to fill that gap uh for that uh for that time. And you know, my journey with Berna started way before I was a uh owner of a company that sells Berna

A Road Rage Moment Of Truth

products. Um, I was on a uh road uh near my house. It was a four-lane road, and I someone was trying to merge in from a turning lane, and I was ahead the right of way. And so I drove by them. They thought I should have stopped and let them in. So when we got to the next stoplight, they pulled up next to me. They were very upset. They were yelling, screaming, threatening me from their car, threatening to get out of the car and come over at me. And, you know, at that point in time, I was a concealed carry weapons holder. And uh fortunately, the situation didn't escalate past that. The light turned and I drove off. And that was the end of that situation. But it really got me to thinking that if that person had gotten out of their car and come over to me and tried to assault me in my car, would I have been comfortable pulling out my uh real gun and shooting them over something where they, you know, it was a it was a stupid situation, you know, right or wrong, whoever was right or wrong in that situation, it was it was nothing to get that upset about. And so I decided I wanted something where I would be able to defend myself because I certainly don't want to sit there and get attacked and not have a way to defend myself without having to kill the person in the process to defend myself. And so that's when I went online. I found Berna. I became a Berna customer. Um, I was a Berna customer for a few years, really liked the product, felt like it had a good place uh in the self-defense world. And then a few years after that, we had the opportunity to start the Berna dealership. And so we're now a premier dealer for Berna, selling the full line of Verna products.

Marketing The Message Locally And Online

So, Patrick, we know that marketing is key to any business's success. How do you market your business?

So we market uh many different ways. We have um, you know, we do online things. We have uh some YouTube videos and some social media presence, but we also go to a lot of community events. We'll set up booths at you know local festivals and community days, fairs, that sort of thing. We also do uh online advertising, radio, um uh advertising, or not not online, but uh broadcast advertising with radio. And then we also have billboards up around the area as well.

Jiu-Jitsu, Family, And Balance

So, Patrick, when you're not busy running your business, what do you like to do for fun?

So, one of my favorite pastimes is I do jujitsu. So I have uh been training jujitsu for about uh over five years now. And it is uh one of my favorite, one of my favorite things to do if I'm not if I'm not uh running the business or hanging out with my family, you'll probably find me at the gym uh rolling around trying to choke people or get choked out myself.

So, you know, I just really want to spread the message of Berna and allow people to have that option for self-defense.
